Finally, return to Kathmandu and take in the city’s breathtaking views, capping up an 18-day yet rewarding journey.

Kailash Mansarovar yatra with The Everest Base Camp is explicitly designed for devout pilgrims who are enthusiastic to reach the most sacred location, traveling the long and tedious path via mountains of Nepal and Tibet to catch a sight of Lord Shiva’s dwelling place and the world’s tallest mountain Mount Everest. Being the world’s most popular and holy mountain for Hindu and Buddhist, Mt. Kailash, at 6740 meters, is the highest peak in the Kailas range of the Himalaya. Those who are not participating in the Parikrama will be treated to a view of Mount Kailash before returning to Yam Dwar. They will stay at the guesthouse for two days while waiting for the arrival of other group members who will be participating in Parikrama.
If Parikrama participants require a horse or yak, this may be arranged with the aid of your Tibetan guide and on a direct payment basis. They will be carried by other Yaks and Yak men, to mention the other logistics. It is also strongly advised that Yatris bring hot drinking water as well as a packed meal for use throughout the trek. The pilgrims will have a level journey today, with some modest ascents, culminating to the completion of their trek to Dirapuk in around 5-6 hours. The Yatris will be provided with a midway break so that they may eat their packed lunch.
Because the weather in Dirapuk is far too cold, your Tibetan guide will be prepared with a pre-booked hotel where you may check in and then spend the night. The Yatris would be able to see the North Face of the most revered Mount Kailash near from Dirapuk.

  • Day 12 Dirapuk- Zuthulphuk (18km trek)

Today’s start will undoubtedly be extremely pleasant for the pilgrims, as they will be treated to a golden vista of Mount Kailash thanks to the first sunshine seen before sunrise. Breakfast is served before embarking on an exciting walk to Zuthulphuk. This trek is regarded the longest and roughest of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra since it begins with a steep climb up to Dolma-La high pass (5630 m) for about 3-4 hours, then descend to Gauri Kund for about 2.5 hours, and then walk over flat terrain for another 2-3 hours. On reaching the Dolma La, the Yatris are going to witness the Shivasthal which is a highly favoured place comprising of some flags and other objects like ornaments, clothes and some belongings since it is believed that whatever you will be offering here shall be attained by you in heaven after your death. It is very beautiful and surely the Yatris are going to be in love with the serenity lying there. It is recommended for the travelers to carry their packed lunch as well as hot drinkable water along with them. After crossing Dolma La, look for Gauri Kund on the right side of your route as you descend. We’ll stop for lunch in the middle of the descent and then continue downward. The party must proceed with caution since there will be several loose stones along the road. Those Yatris traveling by Yak/horse would have to walk for 2-3 hours after Dolma La to get down. When the Yatris arrive at Zuthulphuk, they will spend the night in a dormitory-style guesthouse/lodge/tent.

  • Day 13 Zuthulphuk to Darchen

Today is the last day of your journey to Kailash Parikrama, and it will culminate with a short trek of approximately 3-4 hours, allowing the Yatris to get up at a regular time in the morning and begin trekking to Darchen town. We will arrange for a car to pick you up and drop you off to Darchen’s guesthouse, where your other group members will be waiting. Have lunch at your guesthouse and then travel to Paryang or Dongba to complete the remaining course of Lake Mansarovar’s circumambulation (approximately 30 percent). Stay the night at your guesthouse.

  • Day 14 Darchen-Saga

Wake up, eat a sumptuous meal, and then get ready to be transported to Saga. During your drive, take in some beautiful and heart-stopping vistas before arriving in Saga in the afternoon.
