  • Day 1 Arrive in Kathmandu

    A representative from our office will meet you when you arrive. He will help you in getting to and from your accommodation. There will be an orientation/briefing event in the evening, followed by a tour to Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), from where you will be able to see the Kathmandu valley and enjoy the scenery of a lovely sunset. Overnight stay at a hotel.

  • Day 2 Kathmandu sightseeing

    Visit Pashupatinath, Nepal’s most sacred Hindu shrine and one of the most significant Shiva shrines, located on the banks of the Bagmati River, followed by Guhyeshwari Temple. After that, travel 5 kilometers north-east of Kathmandu Valley to Budhanilkantha (Bishnu Sleeping Temple). Packing and last-minute purchasing should be on your to-do list for the remaining hours of the day. Finally, stay the night in a hotel.

  • Day 3 Fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj and then to Simikot

    After breakfast, drive to the Domestic Airport to take a flight to Nepalgunj in the morning. You’ll spend some time in Nepalgunj, eat lunch, and then fly to Simikot in the evening. Stay the night in a hotel of Simikot

  • Day 4 Fly to Hilsa

    Helicopter ride from Simikot to Hilsa in the morning after breakfast. Then, drive to Taklakot (Purang) after crossing the border. Taklakot (3800m) is where you’ll spend the night

  • Day 5 Rest at Taklakot

    After breakfast at the hotel, you will have free time to acclimate in Taklakot (Purang). You can go for a walk to see what’s going on at the local market. If you forget something for your walk, such as a stick, water bottle, trekking shoes, gloves, or a cap, Taklakot market is the final place to look.
    Purang lies in an area known as the “rain shadow” (or “precipitation shadow“), which is shielded from monsoon rains by the Himalayan mountains. Purang is the sole way for pilgrims to visit Mt. Kailash and Lake Mansarovar, two adjacent Hindu sacred places. Overnight stay at Purang.

  • Day 6 Drive to Manasarovar

    After Breakfast drive to Mansarovar by bus. Today is the most expected day as we go to the sacred area of Lake Mansarovar and Mount Kailash. Today we will stay in Chiu Gompa, which is located near Lake Mansarovar and is only 70 kilometers from Taklakot. Today, on your way to the lake, you’ll get your first view of Mount Kailash. On the left side of the road, you will find Rakshas Taal, a large gorgeous lake with turquoise blue water (Lake of the Demons also known as Ravana Taal).
    The Mansarovar Lake will be within a short walk from your guesthouse. You may go to the lake at night to see how beautiful it is in the moonlight. The night view of the holy lake is connected with various tales and stories that tourists may encounter on their own. Though it is safe to go out late at night, it is recommended that you stay in a group and have one of your guides/sherpas with you for assistance.

  • Day 7 Puja and Havan at Manasarover

    Free time in the morning will be spent at the lake for Holy Bath (outside of the lake). Puja, Havana work, meditation, and spiritual exercises are all part of the process following the visit to Tsugompa Milerapa cave monastery and Kailash view. After lunch, drive 40 kilometers (about 1 hour) to Darchen (4560m).

  • Day 8 Trek to Dhiraphuk

    A short trip to Yamdwar after breakfast. This is the start of the Kailash Parikrama. After seeing Yamdwar, all pilgrims continue their first day’s walk towards Dhiraphuk (which is 12km trek). It will take between 5 and 6 hours. Enjoy the serenity of nature while traveling, with the calming sounds of a rushing river and a sight of Nandi Kailash. The North Face of Mt Kailash will be seen from Dhiraphuk. Around Mt. Kailash, there are various revered kailash sceneries. After a long and productive day, spend the night at a nearby guest house.

  • Day 9 Trek to Zuthulphuk

    Early morning breakfast followed by a 2nd day Parikrama from Dhiraphuk to Dolma La pass (5620m) and on to Zuthulphuk (4790m). This is the day when every pilgrim takes on the most significant as well as the most difficult phase of the journey. The trek begins with the steep climbing up to Dolma La High Pass (5620m), which is about 6-7 kilometers away, and then steep down to the next level valley through Gaurikunda. Then it’ll be another 3-4 hours of walking to Zuthulphuk. Once you’ve finished the most difficult part of the trek, there will be local small tea shops where you may stop for a while with a nice cup of tea or noodles before continuing on to Zuthulphuk, where you’ll see the East Face of Mt Kailash. Spend the night at Zuthulphuk guesthouse

  • Day 10 Drive to Hilsa

    After breakfast, trek from Zuthulphuk monastery to Chongdo and complete the Kailash Parikrama. Finally drive to Taklakot/Hilsa with beautiful memories and joyful experiences that will last a lifetime. Spend the night at Hilsa hotel.

  • Day 11 Fly to Simikot from Hilsa

    Fly by helicopter from Hilsa to Simikot, then fly by fixed wing to Nepalgunj if weather and time allow. Arrive in Nepalgung, and then transfer to the hotel via the airport.

  • Day 12 Drive to Lucknow

    After breakfast Certificate of completion will be provided to you from Sunrise Kailash Pvt. Ltd. Then we will transfer you to Lucknow by overland surface. concluding the 12 day long tour with beautiful memories.
