14

Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is explicitly designed for devout pilgrims who are enthusiastic to reach the most sacred location, traveling the long and tedious path via mountains of Nepal and Tibet to catch a sight of Lord Shiva’s dwelling place. Being the world’s most popular and holy mountain for Hindu and Buddhist, Mt. Kailash, at 6740 meters, is the highest peak in the Kailas range of the Himalaya. The mountain is believed to be the ultimate residence of the Hindu deity of Destruction Lord Shiva and his wife goddess Gauri.

The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra through Lhasa visits the important cultural sites of Lhasa, Gyantse, Shigatse, and Kailash Mansarovar, as well as pilgrimage sites. Potala Palace, Sera Monastery, Norbulingka Palace, Jokhang Temple, Tibetan traditional Barkhor Squire, Tashilampo Monastery in Shigatse, and the most sacred Lake Yamdok on the route traveling from Gyantse to Shigatse are the key tour attractions of this tour surrounding Lhasa. Our journey to the Kailash area continues through numerous culturally rich Tibetan cities.

The journey begins by visiting two of the country’s most important religious sites (Pashupatinath and Budhanilkantha-Bishnu Sleeping Temple), followed by a breathtaking Mountain View flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa, the capital of Tibet. Visit the renowned Potala Palace with 1000 Rooms, the Jokhang Temple (Tibet’s most holy temple), and the Tashilunpo Monastery in Shigatse to learn about Tibet’s vital culture. Then take a leisurely drive to Saga and participate in a kora around Lake Manasarovar and Mt. Kailash before returning. Finally, return to Kathmandu and take in the city’s magnificent vistas concluding the 14 days long but fruitful trip.

You will do puja and bathe at the lake in Mansarovar. It is said that visiting Mansarovar and taking a dip in the Lake will wash away all of one’s sins and bring one to a state of salvation. The Kailash Mansarovar has been visited by many pilgrims since ancient times. The voyage used to be quite tough, but thanks to modern transportation and travel companies like us Sunrise Kailash Travel, it is now much simpler. People may now attend this ultimate and well-known pilgrimage without causing any disruptions and receive the blessings of the gods.
